An exclusive all-white party

Owambe Fest 4

Saturday 18 July 2026Milton KeynesDress code: all white

An owambe is a Yoruba party with everything turned up: the music, the dancing, the clothes. This one asked everyone to come in white, and the Abuletic King brought the drum.

The fourth Owambe Fest was presented by CLAP 2026 and Blue Republic Africa with Bigjohny (Olori Ebi) and family, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Milton Keynes, on the same day as Colchester Carnival.

With the band behind him he sang to the talking drum and the dùndún, then walked into the crowd, microphone in hand, and the dance floor came to him.
