The Missing Script
IbadanSunday 6 March 2022All of Grace Jogor Centre
Programme note
On Sunday 6 March 2022 the Abuletic Tour came to Ibadan. Its second edition, The Missing Script, filled the All of Grace Jogor Centre with drummers, dancers, singers and storytellers, from the red carpet at noon until the last drum fell silent.
The night was held with the Oyo State Government’s Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism and packaged by Forge Max, with MC Imperial, Chika Wonderful and Damilola Royal as hosts. Guests walked in beneath an arch of raised sticks, a performer made his entrance on a bicycle, and the stage moved between chorus, dance, drama and the talking drums. At its height, fifty drummers played on the stage as one ensemble.
